FAULT Magazine (www.faultmag.com) is seeking short stories, nonfiction essays, photographs and animated works that deal with human flaws.

Each issue of the magazine will focus on a single, undesirable characteristic, exploring such issues as: who is affected by it, the impact it has on individuals, when it can be especially bad (or actually good), and any other aspect of the flaw that that may be worth investigating.

The first five issues will explore these flaws:

-Perfectionism
-Dependence
-Apathy
-Imperiousness
-Self-Obsession / Self-Delusion

We are seeking works that incorporate these characteristics in funny or sobering ways. Ultimately FAULT hopes to offer an entertaining look at human frailty and a serious consideration of some of our more unpleasant traits.

GUIDELINES:

1. DEADLINE: July 31, 2007
2. EMAIL submissions to submissions@faultmag.com. Please indicate, in the subject line, which flaw your work addresses.
3. MAIL submissions to Fault Magazine c/o Alex Palmer, 188 Hart Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206.
3. LENGTH: written works must be less than 6,000 words.
4. PHOTOS may be sent via email as JPEG or TIF files.
5. PAY: there is no compensation for work at this time.
