Elayne Zalis, an independent writer and scholar, has an interdisciplinary background in the media arts and critical theory. She specializes in auto/biographical writing and research for print, video, and the Web. Her current research focuses on artistic, literary, documentary, and scholarly texts designed for the Web that exemplify or address what may be loosely defined as autobiographical and biographical genres. She lives in Southern California.
