3D ANIMATION FACULTY

The Cleveland Institute of Art is seeking a digital media artist/designer with insight into the needs of the next generation of artists and designers. We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to fill a full-time faculty position in the Technology and Integrated Media Environment-Digital Arts (TIME) major and in the Foundation Environment. Primary teaching responsibility will be 3D graphics courses within TIME, a new cross-disciplinary program currently offering a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and offerning a Master of Fine Arts degree in the immediate future. In order to support students' individualized tracks, candidates must be able to deal with a wide variety of topics, including modeling, lighting, simulation, design, visualization, interactivity, gaming, and animation. In keeping with the integrative nature of the program, introductory level Digital Art and Design courses in the Foundation Environment will be a part of the teaching load The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to promote the broad range of areas of our studio curriculum, including fine arts, crafts, design and foundation studies.

Qualifications: MFA or equivalent; college teaching experience beyond TA and demonstrated professional activity; knowledge of Maya 5.0 and related software; Proficiency in both Mac and Windows platforms.
