The Cinema Department at Binghamton University offers a unique B.A. program that puts formal and aesthetic issues in cinema into active dialogue with its theoretical and social dimensions (http://www.binghamton.edu/cinema/).

The Department seeks applicants for a full time tenure track appointment to teach production and aesthetics. Applicants are being sought whose works demonstrate unique artistic approaches to film/video production and who exhibit a capacity for critical discourse. The integration of alternative processes involving installation, performance, animation, and new media are of interest. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of this TAE as an area of intensive research and teaching. The search committee will include members of the Material and Visual Worlds steering committee. For more information on the TAEs, go to http: http://www.binghamton.edu/academics/provost/tae2013.html.
