Independent artist’s studio seeking an industrial designer with technical ability and knowledge of computer graphics. Must be skilled in delicate, hands- on work and use of laser cutting machine and CORELDRAW. Knowledge of ILLUSTRATOR and other three-dimensional software, computer networks, electronics and electrical engineering also an advantage.

Skills:
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of material and manufacturing process
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Providing design solutions that convey a visual and tactile message
Generating and communicating visual and physical aspects of designs though sketches
Generating illustrations, renderings, and 3D prototype models
Working with outside suppliers to define and acquire models and prototypes of proposed
Project management skills including liaison with external vendors and service providers

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
BS/BA degree in Industrial Design - 2 Years Professional Experience

Miri Chais is a new media artist living and working in Los Angeles, California. Chais studied at the Hamidrasha School of Art, Beit Berl College in Kfar Saba, Israel. Her works straddle the ever-shifting borders of art, design, science, and technology, employing advanced materials and dynamic elements of sound, light, and video. Recent solo exhibitions include: Reflection/Extension, Satoshi Koyama Gallery, Tokyo (2013); In Horror in Longing, Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa (2012); No Wonder, Hangar 2 at the Port of Jaffa, Tel Aviv (2012); and Paradise, Janco-Dada Museum, Ein Hod (2012).
