(in) Six Hours Ago / In Six Hours(Ago)
is a collaborative exchange exhibition between Etalage Derde Wal in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and The Poetry Club Artspace in Brooklyn.
Each gallery independently curated a show exhibiting work from their art community, and sent it to the other space, via USPS, small flash drives, layers of bubble wrap, and gmail attachments.
And we have even sent some human artists, on airplanes, from Brooklyn to Nijmegen and Nijmegen to Brooklyn to come and do live performances during our thrilling trans-atlantic opening!
Please join us for this very special exhibition that we are thrilled to be a part of.
January 8th will be the simultaneous opening (2PM Brooklyn/8PM Nijmegen), including a streaming performance by et.per.se.and and live performances by dutch artists Greetje Aerts and Vera van der Velden.
Also, expect to see mind-blowing videos, animation, drawings, sound art, photography and.....socialize with fellow enthusiasts of the Netherlands while drink Sunday afternoon mimosas and eat super-special Belgian waffles!
