26 June 2008 - In Between Spaces A large screen interaction with Lanfranco Aceti's 4 art occupations: Screams at Tate Modern, London; Screams at Centre Pompidou, Paris; Screams at MoMA, New York and Screams at Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin.
Dr. Lanfranco Aceti is an artist and lecturer in Contemporary Art and Digital Culture at the School of History of Art, Film and Visual Media, Birkbeck College. The online screen interaction will be followed by a discussion with the artist about his transmedia art interventions. Guests will also be able to video record their own screams and become part of a new series of video artworks or, if unable to attend, phone +44 (0)20 8099 1080 and leave a scream. The artist will discuss the practice of contemporary art digital interventions in a debate with: Prof. Paul Brown, Dr. Nicholas Lambert and John Francescutti, curator. The event is in collaboration with the Computer Arts Society.
