Sustainapalooza II: 2 Degrees Too Much will facilitate conversation between students and young alumni who are spearheading solutions to sustainability-related problems around the world. Participants will give short, provocative and idea-rich ‘flash’ presentations of their projects and proposals, and will also decide how to distribute seed money through a vote at the end of the event.
Presentations and workshops will be held on topics such as biodiversity and ecosystem services, disaster vulnerability and resiliency, land use and food systems, civic science and education, social justice and public health, arts, and activism. The event will close with a discussion of the challenges and strategies behind September's People's Climate March, and will attempt to establish consensus on priorities for future actions.
