NAISA celebrates Culture Days with a SOUNDwalk at 1pm on September 27 and a sound sculpture running on Sept 27 & 28. In a SOUNDwalk, the listening "audience" moves through a place and the environment "performs." Join us at 1pm for a SOUNDwalk led by Susan Aaron, exploring sound environments in the area of the Artscape Wychwood Barns and ending at Nordheimer Ravine. Participants should wear appropriate footwear and clothing for current weather conditions. The sound sculpture Hive, by Hopkins Duffield, will run from 10am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Hive is a sound sculpture that explores convergences between technology and nature using wasp architectures created from found and fabricated parts, and is suitable for all ages.
